Let October Begin!

Now is the time to plan for your best costume yet. Since we have exactly 30 days till Halloween, let the planning begin!

First things first, brainstorm ideas of what you want to dress as, or better yet who you want to be on the 31st.
Select the best idea you have
Before you start looking online for clothes or rushing to your nearest costume store, check your closet first. Pull out everything you have and see if you can create your own costume. If there’s absolutely nothing you can come up with, go find your outfit elsewhere! If you want to save some cash, go check out some thrift stores around you.
Once you got your outfit all planned out, definitely check where you are going to go: stay in your neighborhood, check out any cool parties in town, and definitely get some candy!

And if all else fails, dress like yourself and just enjoy a great night!

Remember to stay safe! There will be a lot of people out and about, so be aware of your surroundings, whether your walking or driving. Just like in preschool, stick with the buddy system. Go with somebody wherever you go to ensure you are safe through the night. If you are unable to find a buddy for the night, definitely make sure you have your phone or a way to contact someone if you are in need of any help.

Make sure you have something to eat before you start tanking all that candy you get. If you have any allergies, make sure you check the ingredients of the treats you got before you start biting into them. But don’t worry, this can be your cheat day for the week. This is your one night you can get away from eating all the candy you want. Just make sure you remember to brush your teeth before you go to bed tonight!
