Football Season a.k.a Fall

The fall season is upon us and that means the leaves will be changing colors and falling off their branches, school has begun again, and football is back on television. Are you a die-hard football fan or maybe you just go to your school’s game to show your support? If you do either one or fall somewhere in between, today’s blog is for you.  Sometimes it’s nice to do your nails in school colors or just a football theme. Here are some nail art ideas with football in mind:

Paint one vertical line and three short horizontal ones to create the stitches.

Another idea would be to use your favorite team’s colors and draw the football on top. Don’t forget to let each side dry before polishing the other color. Also make sure everything is dry before adding the white as you don’t want the other colors to cause the white to smear.

Another great idea is to make the green on your nails to look like the turf the football players play on. Here’s a short tutorial to create this cool look:

Paint your nails green.  Dark green looks more like astroturf if you use it under the lighter green flocking.

Paint a second coat of green, and while your nails are still wet, sprinkle green flocking on your finger. You can buy it any craft store.

Tap your nail just like you would glitter after you stuck it down to glue, and you’re done with the grass part. (You will probably still have some left on your hands, but you can just wash it off.)

Paint your pointer finger dark brown.

Draw football stitches on it with white nail polish.

And finally, maybe you just want something simple like a football on your nails. In this picture you have the steps to turn your nails into cute footballs. Whatever you do, have fun!

Makeup tips!!

Do you ever wonder how people get their make-up to look so good and perfect? Well, I can tell you from experience that it has a lot to do with the shapes and color of your face. Here are some fun makeup tips (and other beauty tips) that I hope are helpful for you!

Here are some different eye shapes and tips on how you should place your eye shadow.

Here are some different face shapes and suggestions of the best way to put on blush for each one.

This shows you how to give your lips some more depth and shadowing. First, cover the middle of your lips in a light color. Then, smudge it to the outer lip on both sides. Last, put clear lip gloss over the color you applied. This works with any color you choose to wear.

Here’s a color panel that shows what shades of shadows, eye liners, blushes, and lip glosses go well together.

These are some easy nail art ideas! Things you will need to create them are: nail polish, a Q-tip, and/or a small paint brush for strips. If you want to add little diamonds and jewels, you can add a little dot of clear nail posh where you want to place it and stick it on top.

For these zebra nails, all you have to do is paint your nails white, wait until it’s dried, and add black strips on the outer part of the nail.

Polka dots are really easy! Paint all of your nails the same color. Wait for them to dry, and add large polka dots spread throughout each nail. After those dried, paint smaller polka dots inside the larger dots.

Have fun!

Polka Dot Nail Art!

When was the last time you painted your nails? Do you think it’s time for some new colorful polish? Whether you’ve you’re a nail painting pro, or you’ve never painted your nails before, here is a super cute idea to make your nails stand out this holiday season.

Polka Dot Nail Art:

Polka dot easy nail art.. Looks easy enough for me :D

First, chose two of your favorite colors. This is the fun part about nail art, you can make them however you want! Your colors could be your favorite colors, or fall colors for Thanksgiving, or even Christmas colors.  Chose one color for the base color. Use this to cover the entire nail. Depending on the color and polish, you might need more than one coat. Once the base color is dry, use the tip of the brush to make the dots. Once dry, cover with an optional coat of clear coat.

Just like that you have super cute nails!

Halloween Nails

Halloween is coming up, and there are so many cute ideas for nail art to show your holiday spirit! Many of them require lots of tools and artistic abilities, but here are some ideas that are a little simpler and would be able to be done using just a toothpick! You can use toothpicks to draw pumpkins, skulls, or other designs, and stripes and polka dots. I think all these color combos are great… you don’t even have to copy each girl’s nails exactly, mix them all up!

Here is this years nail art to match my clown costume. :) I’d like to think that I’ve gotten a lot better over this past year. Compared to THIS. What do you think?
